John Alan Lasseter is an American animator, director, screenwriter, producer, and the head of Skydance Animation. He is best known for his work at Pixar, where he was one of the key figures behind the studio’s success, and at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he served as Chief Creative Officer. Lasseter was born in Hollywood, California, and developed an interest in animation at a young age. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts and was one of the first graduates of its Character Animation program.
