Myles Kennedy, born Myles Richard Bass on November 27, 1969, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Alter Bridge and the lead vocalist in Slash’s solo project featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. He has been a prominent figure in the rock music scene since the early 1990s, starting his career with the Spokane, Washington-based band Cosmic Dust, a jazz-fusion group. Kennedy then moved on to front the band Citizen Swing, which showcased his diverse musical abilities and helped him hone his craft. In 1999, Kennedy formed The Mayfield Four, a rock band that released two albums: “Fallout” and “Second Skin.” Despite critical acclaim, the band did not achieve widespread commercial success and disbanded in 2002.
