Charles A. “Charlie” Gonzalez is an American politician who served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Charlie Gonzalez is the son of the late Congressman Henry B. Gonzalez, a respected figure in Texas politics. Charlie followed in his father’s footsteps, dedicating his career to public service and representing Texas’s 20th congressional district from 1999 to 2013. Charlie attended Thomas A. Edison High School in San Antonio and later earned a degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. He subsequently received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
