Artur Davis is an American lawyer and former politician who served as a U.S. Representative for Alabama’s 7th congressional district from 2003 to 2011. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Davis attended Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Government. He went on to earn his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a classmate of future President Barack Obama. Davis began his legal career as an assistant U.S. attorney, prosecuting a wide range of cases, including violent crimes and public corruption.
