Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers, known professionally as Brie Larson, is an acclaimed American actress and filmmaker. Born in Sacramento, California, she was homeschooled before attending the American Conservatory Theater at the young age of six. Larson began her acting career in television, landing a role on the 2001 sitcom “Raising Dad.” She gained recognition for her supporting roles in comedies such as “21 Jump Street” (2012) and “Trainwreck” (2015). Her breakout role came with the 2013 independent drama “Short Term 12,” where she portrayed a supervisor of a group home for troubled teenagers.
