Larry Wayne “Chipper” Jones Jr. is a former American Major League Baseball (MLB) player who spent his entire 19-year career with the Atlanta Braves. Born on April 24, 1972, in DeLand, Florida, Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest switch-hitters in baseball history. He was the first overall pick in the 1990 MLB Draft and made his debut with the Braves in 1993. Jones played primarily as a third baseman but also spent time as an outfielder.
