Christopher Scott Kyle, widely known as Chris Kyle, was an American sniper and Navy SEAL who gained notoriety for his exceptional marksmanship and valor during his service in the Iraq War. Born on April 8, 1974, in Odessa, Texas, Kyle enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999 and was deployed to Iraq four times. He served with SEAL Team 3 and was credited with 160 confirmed kills, making him the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history.
