Drew Gilpin Faust, born Catharine Drew Gilpin, is a distinguished American historian and academic leader best known for her tenure as the 28th President of Harvard University, serving from 2007 to 2018. Born in New York City and raised in Clarke County, Virginia, Faust attended Concord Academy in Massachusetts before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bryn Mawr College in 1968.
