Fran Drescher, born Francine Joy Drescher, is an American actress, comedian, writer, and activist. She was born on September 30, 1957, in Flushing, Queens, New York. Drescher is best known for her role as Fran Fine in the hit television sitcom “The Nanny,” which aired from 1993 to 1999. Her distinctive nasal voice and thick New York accent made her a memorable and beloved character in the show.
