Gregory Stuart Lake, widely known as Greg Lake, was an influential musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. He first rose to prominence as a founding member of the progressive rock bands King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP). Lake’s early musical journey began with the formation of King Crimson in 1968, alongside guitarist Robert Fripp. Their debut album, “In the Court of the Crimson King,” released in 1969, is often cited as one of the pioneering works of progressive rock.
