Gregory Wayne Oden Jr., known as Greg Oden, is a retired American professional basketball player who was born on January 22, 1988, in Buffalo, New York. Standing 7 feet tall, Oden was a dominant center, widely recognized for his shot-blocking ability and physical presence on the court. Oden attended Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he led his team to three consecutive state championships and earned national Player of the Year honors.
