Born on January 7, 1967, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Irrfan initially pursued a career in cricket before shifting his focus to acting. He graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi in 1987 and started his acting career with television serials. He gained widespread recognition with the film “Haasil” (2003) and further established himself as a formidable actor with movies like “Maqbool” (2004), “The Namesake” (2006), and “Life in a… Metro” (2007). Irrfan’s international acclaim came with roles in “Slumdog Millionaire” (2008), “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012), “Life of Pi” (2012), and “Jurassic World” (2015).
