Mirko Filipović, widely known by his ring name Mirko Cro Cop, is a retired Croatian mixed martial artist, kickboxer, and a former law enforcement officer. Born on September 10, 1974, in Vinkovci, Croatia, Cro Cop has had an illustrious career in both kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA). He gained fame for his powerful striking abilities, particularly his devastating left high kick, which has knocked out many of his opponents. Mirko initially started his career in kickboxing, participating in K-1 tournaments where he faced and defeated some of the biggest names in the sport. He transitioned to MMA in 2001, joining the Pride Fighting Championships, where he quickly became one of the most feared heavyweights. Cro Cop also had stints in the UFC and other organizations.
