Nikki Sixx, born Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr., is an American musician, songwriter, radio host, and photographer, best known as the co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Born on December 11, 1958, in San Jose, California, Sixx experienced a tumultuous childhood that included being abandoned by his father and later being raised by his grandparents. His passion for music led him to move to Los Angeles, where he formed Mötley Crüe in 1981 with drummer Tommy Lee, guitarist Mick Mars, and vocalist Vince Neil. The band quickly rose to fame with their glam metal image and hit albums like “Shout at the Devil,” “Theatre of Pain,” and “Dr. Feelgood.” Apart from Mötley Crüe, Sixx has been involved in several other musical projects, including the band Sixx:A.M.
