Raúl González Blanco, commonly known as Raúl, is a retired Spanish professional footballer who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the history of the sport. Born in Madrid, Spain, Raúl began his career with Atlético Madrid’s youth team but moved to Real Madrid’s academy at the age of 15. He made his first-team debut for Real Madrid in 1994 and quickly became a key player in the squad. Over his 16-year career with Real Madrid, Raúl won six La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions League titles, and numerous other trophies. After leaving Real Madrid in 2010, he played for Schalke 04, Al Sadd, and New York Cosmos before retiring in 2015.
