Ray Allen, born Walter Ray Allen Jr., is an American former professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history. Born on July 20, 1975, in Merced, California, Allen’s career spanned 18 seasons in the NBA, during which he played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle SuperSonics, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat. Allen attended the University of Connecticut, where he played college basketball before declaring for the NBA Draft in 1996. He was selected 5th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves but was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks on draft night. Throughout his career, Allen was known for his impeccable shooting form, clutch performances, and exceptional work ethic. He won two NBA championships—one with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and another with the Miami Heat in 2013.
