Robin McLaurin Williams was an American actor and comedian who was widely regarded as one of the greatest comedians of all time. He was born on July 21, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. Williams began his career as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles during the mid-1970s. He rose to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series “Mork & Mindy” (1978–1982). His improvisational skills and unique style made him a beloved figure in both television and film. Williams’ film career included a wide range of roles in various genres. He showcased his dramatic talents in films like “Good Will Hunting” (1997), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
