Sean Michael McDermott is an American football coach who is currently the head coach for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 21, 1974, in Omaha, Nebraska. McDermott attended La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, where he was a standout wrestler and football player. He later went on to attend the College of William & Mary, where he played as a safety for the Tribe football team. McDermott began his coaching career as a scouting administrative coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the team’s defensive quality control coach, assistant defensive backs coach, and later the linebackers coach.
