Sundar Pichai, born Pichai Sundararajan, is a prominent Indian-American business executive currently serving as the CEO of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google LLC. Pichai was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, and grew up in a modest household. He earned his degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He then went on to pursue an M.S. in Material Sciences and Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Pichai began his career at Applied Materials and later worked in management consulting at McKinsey & Company.
